We would like to assure all our customers a full risk assessment has been carried out here at The Rayleigh Arms. We are doing the most we can to provide a safe environment for our customers and team.

There are sanitisers in all entrances and exits of the building we also have a sanitise station in the garden. The garden has been extended to enable extra external tables. All tables have been spaced in accordance to government guidelines, please note furniture can only be moved by staff. Staff have been supplied with full PPE and protective screens have been installed. A cleaning rota is put in place for staff in order to monitor hot spot areas. There is currently a one-way system in place upon entering and exiting the pub. Our wi-fi has been updated to enable contactless payment in external areas.

We are very fortunate to have space here at The Rayleigh Arms, this has allowed us to create comfortable areas for all our guests. Inside there is full table service and we will do our utmost to give a full table service in external areas (All food orders are taken at the table) Ordering is permitted at the bar with a maximum of two customers at any one time ordering from allocated points. There is strictly no standing at the bar.

Groups of a maximum of 6 people will be allowed inside or outside, inside must be from no more than 2 households and outside can be as many but not exceed 6 people. We would ask children are supervised at all times.

In order to avoid any disappointment, we cannot stress the importance of booking, this can be done via contacting the pub or email. We will allow 2 hours on the table in busy times. Internal tables must be booked, we can also take bookings for our external tables.

Please be patient with us as we really do have the welfare of everyone who visits and works at The Rayleigh Arms at the top of our priorities. If on your visit you wish to offer advice or raise an issue, please do so at the time so we can resolve. Let’s all keep each other safe.
